Snow in March!

Hello again,

We just returned from the horses where there was snow everywhere, it was snowing on the journey there, large fluffy puffs of it obscuring the view as we wound around the slushy lanes to the yard. Opon arrival, 'Beavis and Butt Head' were nowhere to be seen (although it wasn't long before they appeared expectantly at the now muddy gate).
Mummy and Chris (usually the tougher one of the two) gave in to them coming in for the night. This meant a series of wheel barrow trips to fetch straw to make fresh comfortable beds and haylage filled funny fishing net things which are tied up for them. Lordy told me they are to make the horses eat their haylage more slowly so it has a chance of lasting into the night. Maybe if Chris put his biscuits in one he wouldn't try to steal mine, unfortunately I was overheard suggesting this to Mouse and was given a firm ticking off! I was called 'trappy terrier', he's a miserable old git! I called him 'Old'us Fart'us' because he had decided to take a rest in the new bed in one of the stables, that time I received a dig in the ribs from Mouse! Once outside she reminded me to show him more respect, especially after the swimming lessons he had so kindly offered me yesterday. I made a note to self that I would make it up to him later.

Horses all in and eating their tea, little did they realise that they had one or two less carrots. While mummy and Chris had gone to fetch them, Mouse and I stole a couple each, I gave one to Lordy as a peace offering and hid the remaining swag in the yard, Mouse ate all of hers! By the time we had caught up wth the humans and large 4 legged's, no one had noticed..hee hee hee

Now we are all toasty at home, I am in the 'posh' Bichon Box in the lounge (very nice too), Mouse is in Lordy's bed by the radiator in the dining room and Lordy is in her bed happily sunken into her fat red cushion, I can hear him snoring from the next room! Mummy is fiddling about on her funny machine thing doing pictures and Chris is making amazing smells in the kitchen, this can only mean more cullinary genius later! I can't wait!!!!

xx
